We’re excited to be doing it again! Art Takeover 2013 will be in support of the Timbers Army’s Operation Pitch Invasion project: Bless Field in North Portland’s New Columbia neighborhood.
The first of a few awesome new changes to this year, is that the artists will be designing classic styled felt PENNANTS that will be screen-printed and sold at our event on Saturday, August 10th.
Want to design a pennant? Here’s how…
Submit a portfolio of your work that best represents your potential to design a great pennant for our event by midnight Saturday, May 11th. This could be a handful of files or photos or a link to your website or blog. Examples of work don’t have to be Timbers-related or actual pennant art, just something to give us an idea of your style. There is no need to send concepts for your potential Art Takeover design. If you are chosen, your design theme will be based on an assigned Timbers Army song line. The chosen designers will be able to submit their top three choices for song lines plus their choice of blank pennant color from our nine options.

how i spent valentines day: an essay by kbeezy
this valentines day, february 14th, 2013, i was overjoyed to have a tiny part in the wedding of longtime loves nicole and brett. i have known them since my times in ashland. we had many a bbq, many an adventure, and i slept many, many nights on their couch when the goings got rough.
i am so grateful to have been able to bring them and their family a little bit of extra joy, on top of all the love they experienced today.
